The Grace Foundation of Taylors Island does not own or maintain the schoolhouse. The school dates to 1916-17. The school photo above is from the 1920's courtesy of Stephanie Coleman Elliott. This school still stands and is in the process of becoming a Taylors Island Museum. The school is less than a mile on the left side of the road after crossing the bridge onto the island.
